Education Program Expands to Welcome More CPA Licensure Candidates

The accounting profession is evolving, and the paths to achieving CPA licensure are becoming more accessible. At SaasAnt, we are excited to share the latest updates about the Experience, Earn, and Learn (ELE) program, a game-changing initiative by the AICPA and NASBA.

This innovative program, designed to help accounting graduates meet the 150-credit-hour requirement for CPA licensure, is expanding its reach to welcome full-time employed graduates, regardless of whether their employer participates in the program. This inclusive move opens the doors for more aspiring CPAs to grow their careers, starting from the spring 2025 semester, with registration open through January 1, 2025.

What is the ELE Program?

The ELE program supports individuals who have completed their bachelor’s degree and core accounting courses but still need additional credit hours to meet the CPA licensure requirements. Participants can:

  • Earn up to 30 credit hours through flexible, affordable courses offered by Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement.
  • Work full-time while pursuing these courses, enabling them to gain practical experience and financial stability.

This fall alone, the program enrolled 105 students from diverse backgrounds, representing over 50 employers—a testament to its growing impact.

Why This Matters

The expansion of the ELE program highlights the ongoing commitment to strengthening the CPA pipeline. Mike Decker, AICPA’s Vice President of CPA Examination and Pipeline, emphasized that this initiative benefits recent graduates and mid-career professionals, fostering a diverse and inclusive community of CPAs.

Employers also benefit from the program, which helps them hire, retain, and support talented accounting professionals and reinforces a culture of professional growth and collaboration.

A Win-Win for Candidates and Employers

As advocates of simplifying financial processes, we at SaasAnt recognize the importance of nurturing talent in accounting. Programs like ELE align perfectly with our mission to empower professionals with tools and opportunities to succeed.

If you're an employer, this is a chance to invest in your team's growth. If you're an accounting graduate, the ELE program can help you reach your CPA goals while balancing work and education.

How to Get Involved

With the spring 2025 semester approaching, now is the perfect time to explore this opportunity. Registration is open until January 1, 2025. Learn more about the program through the AICPA and NASBA websites, and take the next step toward a rewarding CPA career.

At SaasAnt, we’re excited to see how programs like ELE shape the future of accounting. Together, we can build a more vital, more inclusive profession.
