If most of the students are lacking interest in studies then it represents the failure of the whole education system not only the weakness of those individuals. Our state is losing trust among youth related to education likewise the other public services of health, food, shelter, justice, and security. And if the authorities don’t care about this huge wastage of potential, it means they themselves understand the system’s incapacity in the current socio-economic environment. So, they award grades and medals to a few students only and present them as a model for millions of students to delude the masses.
This is the main reason why only a fraction of students excels in studies by making their immense personal efforts. And most of the students stay behind thinking it to be either impossible or useless to reach the top. Their learning desire disappears as soon as they enter any academic institution. So, they seek new ways of earning being pressurized and torched by the system at the same time. It doesn’t contribute to the national development in any way rather creates disturbance and disorder in the whole system.
The role of Government
Moreover, the lack of supervision from the state has helped private institutions to monopolize education and make it a profitable business. As a result, those who can afford this standardized but expensive education get degrees and rank high in all fields. For this, there has never been a true representation of the public in any sector during our 71 years of history. The majority of the students don’t even think of having their roles in policymaking and national development lacking passion, confidence and required skills. In fact, there exists no merit when equal opportunities don’t exist which aids fragmentation and destruction in society.
On the other hand, teachers and students are working together to protect this corrupt, inefficient and baseless system to get their own shares. This is another reason for the nonserious attitude of students towards their studies and becoming so smart in devising new ways of cheating.
Actually, the state is an integration of institutions that are controlled by its governing system. For the progress and development of a nation, this system needs to be the representation of the beliefs of its people. And for us, Islam is the only solution that has very revolutionary policies to serve society as a whole. For example, Islam teaches the public ownership of all energy sectors and state-owned heavy industries to revive the economy, which is the biggest hurdle in educational reforms. By installing a single automobile industry, the whole engineering sector will get a boast both in research and development. It is far better than producing workers for multinational companies.
Conclusion
To conclude, the state will gain its lost trust by implementing Islamic policies and people will follow the rules and regulations. In this way, the attitude of society will change overnight. Until then, the best achievement of the state is to select one student among millions and send him abroad for higher studies. As we are still living in an environment designed by Britain to keep us under control. And we foolishly think that we will flourish with time when we have no direction as a nation.
