Education as a Lifetime Goal

Just before leaving the public bench, I attended a certificate program at Harvard University School of Law Program on Negotiation. It was inspiring because the experience created an appetite to learn more about dispute resolution so I applied, and was accepted into the Strauss Institute, Pepperdine Law School LLM program for dispute resolution. As a teacher and author I have frequently encouraged others to make education a lifetime goal, so I thought it appropriate to follow my own advice by pursuing the LLM since my new career involves primarily mediation of family law disputes. I am honored to say, I have graduated from the program effective February 2023. There are so many who I wish to thank, but especially my mentor and friend, Prof. Suksimranjit Singh who has continually amazed me with his wisdom, compassion, energy, and vision. I hope you will be inspired to make education a lifetime goal.
