Spotlighting talented youth in Odisha: concluded "Khel Protsahan Pratiyogita" under Project Lakshya

We successfully concluded the inaugural “Khel Protsahan Pratiyogita” in Odisha, a Project Lakshya endeavour in partnership with Jindal (India) Limited to identify and promote talent in the state. Over 3 exhilarating days, over 200 kids from the remotest schools and ultra-backwards areas of Odisha took the centre stage in Kabaddi, Tug of War, Kho-Kho, Cricket and sprint events, exhibiting exceptional talent in front of schoolfellows, Gram Sarpanch, the village president, school principals, parents, and the localities.

Hosted inaugural Sportz Village School Games in Bengaluru schools, supported by Mylan Laboratories

With the participation of over 300 student-athletes identified from in-school sessions and Sports Development Centers in School Games, the event marked a significant stride in introducing competitive sports to middle school students. Our joint endeavor with Mylan is towards youth development through sports by driving sporting excellence at the grassroots (schools).

Yogdaan Employee Volunteering module is our earnest attempt to help our partner organizations keep their teams engaged and aligned with the company's social goals while benefiting the communities at large through our #SportForChange initiatives. Here’s sharing some inspiring examples of how our partner organizations beautifully and actively engages its team, its key stakeholders, in their social impact programs for amplified impact and shared visibility - through Yogdaan.?

1. A big shout out to the entire team of KPMG India volunteers, more than 70 of them, for their unwavering commitment towards amplifying the impact of their organization's social responsibility #SportForChange initiative with us. Amidst shared experiences and interactive games, the volunteers passionately interacted with school children, illuminating the essence of community well-being. Here are a few glimpses from the super fun 2nd edition of Sportz Village School Games in Gurugram, engaging more than 100 children from KPMG-supported schools.

2. Team Sagility showed up in great numbers for the inter-school sports tournament in Chennai, bringing together students from beneficiary schools in the city. The event stood as a testament to not just the athletic prowess, teamwork, and sportsmanship of the young participants but also the amplified impact and visibility through active employee volunteering. What also made this tournament truly special was the equal and spirited participation from both male and female students. On the grounds, the cheers resonated not only for the sporting skills but also in celebration of diversity, with female PT teachers and students standing tall.

PathwayZ: Taking school students from grassroots to elite sports

?12 medals at the 13th All India Open Karate Championship: In partnership with Vedanta Group, Sportz Village Foundation proudly supported the 13th All India Open Karate Championship at Utkal Karate School, Bhubaneswar. Our student-athletes shone brightly, clinching 12 medals, amplifying our commitment to fostering sporting excellence from grassroots to elite levels.?

From Sports adoption to sporting excellence, Khelo Dadri program delivers success: With a focus on sports adoption, behavioral change, and health improvement, we've seen remarkable progress in nurturing 5100 young minds from beneficiary schools & colleges through 'Khelo Dadri' program under the Dadri Development Project supported by Shiv Nadar University. Recently, our team clinched victory at the inter-school Kabaddi Tournament, a testament to our commitment to sports talent identification and development. Special thanks to the Dadri Development Project team for their invaluable support in fostering a culture where every child can play, learn, and thrive!

Empowering girls through sport

Our #SportForChange program in partnership with HCL Foundation across 20+ schools in Lucknow and Noida, has been a consistent and cumulative success over 3 years, leaving a lasting impact in communities, particularly in the lives of young girls like Roopa. Roopa's journey serves as a poignant example of the transformative influence of athletics, specifically Kabaddi, which has not only reshaped her own life but also brought upliftment to her entire community.
