Educate to love human beings

When the human beings are in abundance for a country, death in road accidents become just a mere number. Bangladesh just lost 38 earning human beings - some fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughter-in-laws, grandsons, granddaughters. These people just had a wonderful Eid vacation with their family. On their way back to rejoin work, they died.

You can curse the driver all day for his reckless driving but the fault remains at the core - the authority who allowed him a license without even checking his abilities properly. You can curse the overloaded trucks which cracked the road everywhere but the fault remains at the core - the authority who passed the tender with large amount of bribe leaving the contractor with no choice but use low quality of materials. You can judge many aspects of the accident but the biggest failure remains at the core again - all our governments failed to create a decentralized country - or else, these people would have been working and earning at their own regions, never would have died.

I believe, the increased education budget provided this year is a great step towards ensuring decentralization which is yet much lesser than all our smartly developing neighbours. TO achieve SDG goals, at least 4% of annual budget must be allocated to education. Currently, teacher absenteeism counts to 12% (excluding proxy teachers), whereas 90% of the budget goes on to pay their fees.

This year, right after the budget, the government should deploy audit teams to ensure a better implementation. The government is far more stable than ever in the country and they shouldn't fear losing the election by taking this authoritative steps where people enjoying rest of 98% of the budget would surely applaud.

Educate people with proper quality. Educate on being a human first, so that even a primary school dropout driver will never drive reckless. Educate the country to be more sensible. Educate the country to be responsible. Provide a brand communication budget to the education ministry to educate the people of Bangladesh to love every Bangladeshi.
