EDO APC VICE CHAIRMAN RESIGN

EDO APC VICE CHAIRMAN RESIGN

Francis Inegbeniki, the All Progressives Congress vice chairman for Edo State, has left the organization.

A letter dated June 8, 2024, addressed to the ward chairman of Opoji, Esan Central Local Government, and made available to journalists on Sunday, contains Inegbeniki's resignation.

He claimed that certain recent changes within the party in his state and local government go against his beliefs and ideals.

He continued by saying that this had prompted him to consider carefully his political future in the state and make a decision."Every man must make some difficult decisions at some point in his life that are both in his own best interests and the interests of his people as a whole," he remarked. This is one of those times."I have been an involved, well-funded, and devoted grassroots politician in Edo State for 25 years.

In addition, I feel that I have made my fair share of contributions to the expansion of the APC in my ward, local government area, senatorial district, state, and nation, Nigeria, as one of the founding fathers of the party in Edo State."However, some recent changes inside the party in my state and local government area go against my basic beliefs and ideals. This has forced me to consider carefully my political prospects in Edo State and make some decisions about the future."I would like to officially inform you of my decision to resign from both my position as state vice chairman and my membership in the APC, after consulting with my family, friends, and political acquaintances as appropriate. Although it is a difficult choice, it is the best one for the wonderful people living in my senatorial district. To reposition the party in the state, he continued, a great deal of work needs to be done.
