EDM team runners up in national awards

Our Digital Health team were nominated, and came runner up for "Public Sector Project of The Year" for its successful implementation of Electronic Document Management (EDM) Project in the national Document Manager Awards 2023.

EDM Healthcare Consulting invited the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Digital Health Change, and the Health Records Library teams who worked on the project up to London to the awards night which was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate three years of hard work by all involved to complete the EDM project.

“This is a fantastic achievement by the project team. They can be very proud of what they have achieved. We were the only NHS trust nominated across any of the awards and hope to be back next year scooping the win,” said our Digital Matron, Sarah Homewood .

She added: “This project is all part of our preparation for the bigger project to bring an electronic patient record across all three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney.

The Document Manager Awards is now in its 17th year, and recognises, showcases and rewards innovators in technology, products and services.

Sarah added: “It's a testament to the hard work and positive changes that our colleagues have made over the last three years to digitise our patient records that we were considered for this award - and it is a vital step in our digital roadmap.”

Although the team may not have won on the night, there were celebrations for Harry Pettet , EDM Project Manager, who, together with his colleagues from EDM Healthcare Consulting , went onto win Service/Support Company of the Year.
