Artificial intelligence has made its way into the mainstream this year - with conversations about its transformational powers dominating trade events, boardrooms and stakeholder talks.

However, recent reports indicate that only 12% of AI projects in enterprise are successful. Failures have in part been attributed to incomplete or siloed data sets. The main take away here is that a data strategy needs to go hand-in-hand with an?AI strategy – as NATO’s Dr Nikos Loutas demonstrated at London Tech Week’s?AI Summit last month.

But the encouraging thing about industry’s willingness to experiment on real life use cases – from EasyJet’s chatbots to Apple’s health monitoring devices -?is that a range of industries can benefit from these early forays into AI usage – and these are the stories we aim to deliver, as Loutas puts it: “AI for today and not for tomorrow.”
