The Challenge

In June 2021, Unifonic turned to PRLab to announce their Series B funding round, which was led by SoftBank. Our shared goal was to ensure coverage in top-tier media, including Bloomberg and Forbes ME, while strategically positioning Unifonic for growth on the global stage. This collaboration marked the beginning of a long-term partnership between PRLab and Unifonic, focusing on elevating their brand visibility both regionally and internationally.




PRLab's Strategy

Global PR Team: We assembled a dedicated PR team covering Europe, the UK, and the MENA region to ensure we reached the right markets. Our initial story centered around Unifonic’s funding announcement, followed by strategic narratives that highlighted Unifonic’s unique selling propositions, positioning them as a leader in customer engagement.

Media Research: To gain maximum exposure, we conducted thorough media research and developed a targeted media list of tech, telecom, business, and startup outlets. We divided our efforts by industry verticals, ensuring Unifonic’s story resonated across multiple sectors.

Content Creation & Targeted Pitching: Our content strategy included thought leadership, newsjacking, and regular press releases, flexibly adapting to Unifonic’s evolving needs. We pitched stories to top media outlets in both English and Arabic, such as Gulf News, Business Insider, Fortune, and Entrepreneur ME, ensuring coverage in both local and global markets.

The Series B funding announcement was an overwhelming success:

Beyond the initial funding news, PRLab has continued to support Unifonic’s long-term PR goals, including their 2022 rebrand at LEAP, which we helped amplify in both local KSA and global markets.
