Over the past several months, New York City has made important progress in addressing its housing shortage. From our support of the mayor’s innovative City of Yes proposal to designing a variety of vibrant and sustainable residential developments, we are excited to share our thoughts and project news related to the current landscape of residential development in the first edition of FXChronicle: Insights and Updates.


Supporting City of Yes

We have been proud to support Mayor Adams' visionary City of Yes for Housing Opportunity proposal, which champions a greener, fairer New York City. We provided zoning and strategy recommendations and graphic and digital design for the proposal. We also joined the mayor in a rally to kick off the start of public review. A Vibrant Urban Center in Flushing, Queens

Dan Kaplan, Senior Partner, was a guest on Monocle’s The Urbanist podcast to discuss Flushing, Queens, and its emergence as a vibrant microcosm of the world. Dan shared the trends and evolving dynamics in this rapidly densifying neighborhood, including three recent FXCollaborative projects, NuSun Tower , 30-55 Vernon Boulevard , and Richouse .?


Arverne East - Building D is a Winner in Round Four of NYSERDA’s Buildings of Excellence Competition

Arverne East – Building D , was selected as a winner of one million dollars in Round Four of NYSERDA’s Buildings of Excellence Competition . The Buildings of Excellence (BOE) Competition is a $68 million competition that recognizes and rewards resilient climate-friendly multifamily buildings that are healthier for residents and their communities.?


3ELEVEN: The Wild West

3ELEVEN , the new FXCollaborative-designed residential building on Manhattan’s West Side, was featured in the May issue of Interior Design Magazine . A complex rezoning process resulted in a residential building with a robust amenity program. 3ELEVEN was inspired by the vibrant history of the neighborhood, which is steeped in the legacy of art galleries, clubs, the iconic High Line, and the spirit of the West Side cowboy.?


One Park Point and Chelsea Canvas Launch Leasing

Two of FXCollaborative’s residential projects, One Park Point in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, and Chelsea Canvas in Chelsea, Manhattan, recently began leasing units. These milestones were both covered in Forbes, demonstrating the appeal of Windsor Terrace and Middle Chelsea .?


Dan Kaplan, Dan Piselli, and Chelsea Crisafulli Recognized as Crain’s Notable Leaders

Crain’s New York has recognized Dan Kaplan , Senior Partner, as a Notable Leader in Real Estate, Dan Piselli , Principal and Director of Sustainability, as a Notable Leader in Sustainability , and Chelsea Crisafulli , Associate, as a Notable LGBTQIA+ Leader . Dan, Dan, and Chelsea were honored as leaders making an impact in their respective communities professionally, philanthropically, and personally.
