Edition 6, Week 24, XCION Biweekly

Our sixth edition from XCION Biweekly and with borders opening up well in SEA events & shows are all moving back to the usual face to face or hybrid. These are the news worthy of reporting for June 2022 and late May.

1. ICION9 Bali Workshop in September

With borders opening in SEA coming along well, we focus on staying on track for the above. Team Xcion has done site visits for choosing a appropriate resort for the workshop. We are also hoping to finalize all fund raising for the workshop by end of June. View more via www.xcion.org

2. CISSP Class, looking for support to start on time 21st June

3. Noname Security, latest award and major new customer logo in SEA

API vulnerabilities continue to hit the headlines and attackers are making use of this segment to attack enterprises. Gartner predicts that by 2022, application programming interface (API) attacks will become the most-frequent attack vector, causing data breaches for enterprise web applications. 5. ‘Shadow Data’ Systems - Securiti.ai featured

Traditional data security solutions have focused on encryption and tokenization, but with the broad adoption of multicloud infrastructures, data protection has become more complicated. For example, lifting and shifting apps into the cloud results in “shadow data’’ systems that evade typical data scanning and controls. New approaches are needed to provide discovery and protection of cloud assets.

7. Round Table Session Afternoon August, 2022
