Chelsea superstar Fran Kirby has returned to the England Women squad ahead of the Lionesses two games against Belgium in the UEFA Women's Nations League. Kirby had been out of action for eight months after undergoing knee surgery in May - surgery which meant she missed the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup - but has returned to action at the start of the 2023/24 season with her club team.?
Along with the return of the veteran Kirby, Sarina Wiegman also included two potential new stars of women’s football in her latest Lionesses squad. 19-year-old Khiara Keating and 20-year-old Grace Clinton have both received their first senior call-ups thanks to their fantastic form in the WSL this season thus far.?
