Another week into The Full Potential where we follow the nudges each week to lean into being our best. Thanks for being here!?
In a week when my lovely daughter came home from Uni with her ‘First’ suffocated in her bin bags full of clobber, and like the fish in Nemo… is bobbing around wondering what now??
We’ve all had times like that. And I am marvelling at the fact I’m so old that I know what she can do to help herself!
Anyone else know a ton of the answers now??
We have more ingredients at our disposal to create a terrific recipe at this end of the scale.
?
?
What are you doing this week that helps you to understand when fear is leading the way? ? A big Mindset Reset this week because of all the hidden undercurrent that plays out when fear is guiding you.?
We all have values, boundaries and a good sense of right and wrong, right??
And for sure you must understand these when you are running a business.
But what if you are using this sense of right and wrong to hide behind, not just a comfort blanket, but a big fat safety blanket??
Stopping you from stepping up and being heard and having the success you want?
Even worse.
What if you are hiding behind your values like a Monopoly ‘do not pass go’ sign and you are blaming someone else for giving you the opportunity to be heard and progress??
Because that makes you feel better for saying ‘no’!
At least once a week across social platforms I see this played out.?
Whereby there’s a great opportunity, but because the person has decided the conversation is a big one, they must step aside, miss out and be huffy about the invite whilst remaining cloaked in their values and boundaries.?
Then, all social media business colleagues agree and busy-bee around because the person felt so bad about refusing the gig deep down, they posted it on social media to feel better.
When you have good foundations, you can put forward your views and ideas and be completely settled about them not always toeing the line.?
That’s standing out in a world of mediocrity.
Personally, I have no problem with refusing an invitation because -?
I don’t feel ready
Because it terrifies me too much ?
Because I am just not ready.? ?
But ‘thank you for asking and maybe next time’.?
?
Not giving someone else a hard time on socials or in my mind to make myself feel better.?
A moment of self reflection to understand where I needed to be stronger is needed - and on we go.
Does this chime with you?
If you have a whole group of people you don’t know agreeing with you, you may also want to take counsel with people out there doing better than you and take on board a new viewpoint to learn something new.
Let me know if this has ever played out in your life - and keep an eye out for your sneaky sneaky sneaky comfort blanket that is only there to stop you dead in your tracks and miss out on opportunities.

Is fear guiding you or are you at ten to two on the steering wheel? ?

Have you identifed your niche market? Q: Who does your business serve? A: Well everyone can benefit…
I hear this conversation many times.??
And if I’m being honest the first time I was asked I felt the same.?
You might feel like creating a niche is counter intuitive when you are trying to build your business or even starting out. But similar to the saying that 'you can't please everyone all of the time', you can't service everyone all of the time.?
Who can you give the most magnificent version of yourself? ?
The answer to that isn’t everyone! ?
Take my niche experience.? ?
Serving women aged 50+ to live their best lives (what does that even mean?)
Serving women aged 50+ in business (now we are getting warmer having been in business for 40 years!)
Serving women aged 50+ in business AND looking to fulfil their financial potential ()
Take a good look at your business and see how you can niche down a level.?
Hint It will be something you love… ?

This week here are 5 questions to identify your people, your tribe, the people you most love talking to and serving. ?
1. What specific problems or challenges does your product or service solve?
2. Who are your ideal customers in terms of age, location, interests, and behaviours? 3. What are the key values and priorities of the people you want to serve? 4. Which groups or communities already show interest in your industry or product type? 5. What makes your offering unique compared to competitors, and who would appreciate this difference?
?
The answers to these questions are still not ‘everyone’! ?
