Edition 20 - Attitude of Gratitude

Edition 20 - Attitude of Gratitude

Greetings, LinkedIN friends!

Welcome to the latest edition of the Positivity, Prayer, and PEO newsletter! Today, we're talking about gratitude. Yes, that's right, gratitude. I know, I know, it sounds like a boring topic, but trust me, it's not. In fact, having an attitude of gratitude can completely transform your life. And, as always, we'll be incorporating some scripture to help guide us on this journey.

Now, before we dive in, let me just say that I'm not here to preach at you. I'm not here to tell you what to do or how to live your life. I'm simply here to share my experiences and what I've learned. So, if you're ready, let's get started!

First and foremost, let's define what gratitude is. Gratitude is the act of being thankful and showing appreciation for the good things in your life. It's about focusing on the positive and being grateful for what you have, rather than what you don't have.

Now, let me ask you something. Have you ever had a bad day? Of course you have, we all have. But, have you ever had a bad day and then found yourself spiraling into a pit of negativity and despair? Yeah, me too. It's easy to get caught up in all the negative things that happen in our lives. But, the thing is, when we focus on the negative, we attract more negativity into our lives. It becomes a vicious cycle.

That's where gratitude comes in. When we choose to focus on the positive, we attract more positivity into our lives. It's like a magnet. The more grateful we are, the more things we have to be grateful for.

In Philippians 4:6, it says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." This verse is a reminder that we should always approach life with a heart of gratitude. Instead of worrying about the things we don't have or the things that aren't going right, we should give thanks for the things that are going right.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But Brett, my life isn't perfect. There are things that aren't going right. How can I be grateful for that?" And, to that, I say, you don't have to be grateful for the bad things. You just have to be grateful for the good things. Even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, there are always things to be thankful for. Maybe it's the love of your family, the support of your friends, or simply the fact that you woke up with breath this morning. Whatever it is, focus on the good.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, it says, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Notice that it doesn't say to give thanks for all circumstances, but in all circumstances. There's a difference. We don't have to be thankful for the bad things, but we can be thankful for the good things that come out of those bad things. Maybe it's a lesson learned, a newfound strength, or a deeper appreciation for the good things in our lives.

So, there you have it, folks. An attitude of gratitude is a powerful thing. It can transform your life and bring more joy and positivity into your world. So, the next time you're having a bad day, take a step back and think about the good things in your life. Give thanks for them, and watch as the negativity melts away.

As always, I hope you found this newsletter helpful and informative. If you did, I would be super humbled if you would like, share with others, and comment anything that was revealed to you while reading!

Until next time, friends & LinkedIN'ers!
