Edition 19 - Focused Energy

Hi Friends!

As we come to the end of the first month of 2023, I hope this newsletter finds you well and thriving in your personal and professional lives. As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of work and life, it's important to stay focused and remain kind to ourselves and those around us.

As we reflect on the past month, let's take a moment to celebrate our achievements and challenges, and to look forward to what the future holds.

Woo Hoo!

No matter how significant or how small. The first chapter of your 2023 story is wrapped up & you are here with breath in your lungs to acknowledge it.

Great job!

As we look ahead, let's remember that it's not just about what we do, but also how we do it.

Proverbs 16:24 reminds us, "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

Let's strive to bring positivity and kindness into all of our interactions and remember the power of our words.

But as we strive for success, it's also important to take care of ourselves.

Taking time for self-care and rest can help us perform better and feel more fulfilled. In Mark 6:31, Jesus says, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." Let's make sure we carve out time in our busy schedules to rest and recharge, so that we can continue to be our best selves.

We also have a choice to refocus if we have strayed off the path. Seven years ago yesterday, I strayed off the path. Literally and figuratively.

January 28th, 2016 was one of those life changing wake up calls from God.

I pray that you don't, but when you are on I-75 sliding towards an overpass guardrail you tend to pray pretty fervently and desperately. God kept me safe. That is the only answer.

I had a guardian angel looking out for me.

My Nana (Grandmother) had unfortunately passed away from cancer years prior to that day, but Nana had previously given me a guardian angel visor clip when I started driving at 15.

You can probably imagine how stretched out the metal on the clip was from years of wear and tear. It would normally fall into my lap at the slightest bump or vibration. I would always just pick it back up and put it back on the visor.

That visor clip was still on my visor when I went to see my truck the next day.

God is real. I am forever grateful to still be here, let alone in tact.

So as we end this month, let's make a conscious effort to stay focused, be kind, and take care of ourselves. Let's not take any day of 2023 for granted. We are blessed. By staying focused, we can continue to thrive and make a positive impact in all areas of our lives. Below is a great infographic by Anna Vital on how to focus. Until next time...

Wishing you all the best, stay blessed.
