Edition 15: Goal Setting: Personal and Private

Edition 15: Goal Setting: Personal and Private

Hi SuperBeings,

I hope you got some tips from last week’s entre/netpreneurial mindset ideas. Entrepreneurship has many moving parts, but the most important is staying mentally balanced. It’s easy to become a serial rabbit-holer and forget your needs as a living being. The mind steams ahead and takes over.

So, to add to your balancing act this week, let’s talk about goal setting.

As I start to fall asleep each night, I visualise my next day as if it’s an animation—in colour, with audio and movement, in 3D! Visualising is a great way to create your day ahead. Read this if you want to know more:?Manifesting Through Visualisation: Purifying the Cosmic Lens.

Of course, this involves many assorted tasks, but the overarching goals have already been set and are constantly adjusted as I grow and learn.

Set 9 Overarching Goals

Establish overarching goals for your journey as a netpreneur, continuously adjusting them as you grow and learn.

1. Maintain Motivation:

Recognise the importance of motivation in navigating obstacles and staying true to your vision amidst challenges.

Starting as a netpreneur or a project manager, your motivation isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s critical.?

Motivation keeps you pushing forward when obstacles arise, and the mirage of instant success fades into the reality of hard work.

Recognising these challenges not as stop signs but as part of the netpreneurial terrain is crucial.

This means setting aside time to revisit the reasons that led you to take this leap.?

You need to ask:

What was that spark that ignited your decision to start an online business??

Remind yourself of this regularly. It’s akin to revisiting the drawings of your dream home while building it – a fuel that keeps you energised and focused.

2. Practise Self-Care:

Treat self-care as routine maintenance for your motivation. Regularly revisit the spark that ignited your decision to start an online business.

Your health and well-being is the engine driving your business or project.

3. Embrace Consistency:

Set small, achievable goals, celebrate victories, and stay focused on long-term ambitions to ensure your motivation engine runs smoothly.

Use them to stoke the more giant flames of your overarching ambitions.

4. Prioritise Happiness:

Understand that happiness is essential for sustaining motivation and success in netpreneurship, making it a daily priority.

Say to yourself: “My happiness isn’t a luxurious bonus; it’s a non-negotiable foundation.”

Happiness in all your endeavours goes beyond fleeting moments of joy; it’s about ensuring that every project, every interaction, and every decision reflects your deepest values.?

Invest in understanding what drives your satisfaction and embed those drivers into your daily routine.?

With this sustainable happiness in place, you’re better positioned to weather the storms of uncertainty as you build resilience in the next stage of your journey.?

This resilience isn’t about bracing against the current—it’s about learning to swim with it and, sometimes, turning the tide in your favour.?

5. Foster Authenticity:

Cultivate happiness by aligning every project, interaction, and decision with your deepest values, creating resonance with your audience.

You need to find a way of being yourself in everything you do. No compromising. You are your values, so make sure you know what they are.?

YOu need to be in touch with your True Nature.

Your authenticity will show through to everyone you work with.

6. Build Resilience:

Recognise resilience as crucial armour against setbacks in the digital realm, grounded in gratitude and a positive mindset.

Prepare for the unexpected! Anything could happen.

You are a wide river flowing unstoppably. But sometimes, there are obstacles, such as the need for shallowness, deepness, white water, stagnancy—you name it.

Make and keep unbreakable promises to yourself.

7. Cultivate Self-Discipline:

Commit to seeing every goal to fruition by establishing habits that foster success and maintaining accountability.

Keep records, reminders and notes of everything.

There will be daily tasks which demand repetition for your success. So, you can just enjoy ticking off your checklist as you complete each one.

Also, make drafts of your content/advertisements, etc., even though they may only contain a title. Once the title is written, your piece is started.

8. Discover your Purpose in Life:

Identify and pursue your unique mission or purpose, integrating it into all aspects of your journey.

It’s essential to know yourself under all the layers of social conditioning and criticisms you have been subject to for many years. So you must connect with your true nature.

9. Blend Eastern and Western Approaches:

Embrace a holistic approach to goal-setting, blending visualisation and strategy with mindfulness and adaptability to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape effectively.

In the West, we set goals logically and intellectually. But your mind needs to be calm in the East, so mindful practice is essential.

A combination of the two is very effective.

Committing to Self-Discipline: The Fulcrum of First-Hand Success

Picture this: in your second-hand life, you’ve been the backbone for others, the silent hero powering their dreams.?

Now, as a fresh entrepreneur/manager, you’re at the helm of your first-hand existence. It demands a new pledge, one where you promise to see every goal through to its finish.?

It’s about drawing on that commitment not to give up on anyone else and now applying it to yourself.

Daily work isn’t just routine; it’s the steady drumbeat to which your future marches.?

Establish habits that foster success in your new venture.

Wake up at a consistent hour, prioritise tasks, and carve out time for learning and reflection. No matter how small, each step paves the way for tomorrow’s achievements.

Positive thoughts are more than just feel-good mantras; they’re the force that propels you forward.?

Your inner dialogue should be buzzing with energy, ready to resonate into the universe. Because here’s a known secret: the energy you emit often gets mirrored back to you: the Law of Attraction.

Remember to monitor your journey as you stand firm in empowering yourself.?

The Mission Imperative: Chiseling Out Your Life Purpose

I’ve always believed that each of us has a unique mission or purpose. It’s a singular melody that, when played, resonates in ways no other can.?

As someone stepping away from empowering others to embracing a first-hand life as a netpreneur, recognising and pursuing this purpose becomes even more crucial.

Your venture into the internet marketplace is about more than making a living; it’s about making a difference.?

To find your specific niche, ask yourself what drives you.?

What is that one thing you can offer that no one else can??

Hone in on this purpose. Keep it at the forefront of all you do, and let it guide your decisions, content, and engagements.

The?authenticity?of your mission is paramount.?

There is a noticeable shift when you operate from a place of authenticity; it attracts people.?

Your audience can tell when you are genuine and simply playing a part.?

In fact, genuine enthusiasm is infectious.?

It breeds connection and loyalty, cornerstones of a thriving internet business.

Finally, the true mark of your success is the happiness and fulfilment you bring to your audience/co-workers.?

They’re not just customers/co-workers but part of the community you’re building.?

You create a symbiotic relationship where everyone flourishes by aligning your purpose with their needs and desires.

A Note on Integrating East-West Goal Setting

Launching an internet business isn’t just about setting goals and zooming toward them with blinders.?

It’s about embracing a more enlightened, bicultural approach to entrepreneurship. This involves marrying:?

  • The strategic, objective-heavy ethos of Western goal-setting
  • The adaptable, present-oriented principles of Eastern philosophy.

In the West, we’re taught to visualise success, create strategies, and measure progress meticulously. This approach provides structure and clear objectives, fostering an environment for metric-driven success.?

But there’s another side to consider.

Eastern thought reminds us of the importance of being present and accepting of life’s natural ebb and flow.?

By incorporating mindfulness into our entrepreneurial regimen, we become more flexible and capable of pivoting without losing sight of our core values.?

This adaptability isn’t a mark of aimlessness; instead, it allows us to gracefully navigate the unpredictable seas of entre/netpreneurship.

When we blend these two approaches, we strike a powerful balance.?

Visualisation and strategy are harnessed as engines for our purpose. At the same time, presence and adaptability are the winds in our sails, propelling us forward yet allowing us to adjust course as needed.

Remember, striking a balance does not mean dividing your focus fifty-fifty between each methodology.?

Instead, it’s about finding a harmonious blend for you and your unique life journey.?

As you move forward, allow the interplay of these Eastern and Western philosophies to illuminate the path of your internet business, keeping you grounded yet aspirational, strategic and adaptable.

Yours gaolfully
