French writer Virginie Jouany's latest novel "Petit Coeur d'Opium" (Editions Cairn) recalls the final years of B?o ??i, the last Emperor of Annam, who took refuge in the southwest region of Périgord where American entertainer and French secret agent Josephine Baker was also living at the time. The book story portrays their impossible love and intermingles their destinies, dream and fall and their fight for liberty.

The book advertising poster was originaly meant to be printed on the cover as well. In French, "éditer" means "to publish". In English, edit also signifies "correct, modify or condense". I should have known... The editor always has "the final cut"!
