Welcome back to The Hidden Edge, where we cut through the clutter and get real about what it takes to be a leader today.?

This edition is all about The EDGE, our flagship leadership training program that’s making waves in the corporate world. Why? Because we only open it once a year (at the end of this month) we thought you might be curious about it.

How The EDGE came about: The Birth of a Transformative Journey

The story of The EDGE was born on the back of my book ‘The Hidden EDGE’, the pandemic and the work we were doing inside of companies like 可口可乐公司 , 欧莱雅 , J&J etc..

We’ve all lived through a period of tremendous change and increased uncertainty.

We’ve had a major geo-political upset, our businesses and markets have been challenged by rising commodity prices, unpredictable supply chains and changes in consumer behaviour.

As humans, we have all been impacted.

Yet we’ve still had to show up and perform, lead our teams through the chaos, and deliver results with less people and less resource.?

At the time, Symbia kept getting asked the same questions by our clients.

  • How do we create highly adaptable and agile businesses?
  • How do we help our people navigate uncertainty?
  • How do we ensure our teams can perform under pressure?
  • How do we future-proof our business and our people in an ever-changing world?

The questions were always followed with:

‘We need everyone to learn these skills, so we need to do it in a scalable and affordable way’

The EDGE was born from this vision.

We wanted a direct route to help people thrive, lead, and deliver top performance, even in the face of uncertainty and instability.?

This is more than your typical training program. It’s a development journey that nurtures people from the ground up, empowering them to be agile, resilient, and impactful leaders.

What makes The EDGE different from every other training program out there?

We get it.

There are heaps of leadership training courses out there to choose from, so what makes ours so special?

1) Well, we figured, if everyone needs this, why don’t we mix our clients together and increase thought diversity so they all get out of their bubbles and learn together??

2) Plus, if we used this model we knew we could make it high impact and low cost instead of the crazy prices attached to most leadership programmes.?

3) We decided to handpick a lineup of trainers that were experts in their field, top of their game, with real-world experience - focused on practice, not theory

4) Finally, we knew a 2-day immersive workshop wasn’t going to crack it.

We need to create a journey, where we layered learning and practice.

Where people felt part of a community, knowing they had support for a full year to not just ‘learn stuff’ but to practice, to test, to challenge and ultimately to move into behaviour change

So, the EDGE was born, driven to make the leadership skills of the future as available to as many people as possible at an affordable price.
