4 年Despite the criticism at Head to Head, I still consider the book as one of the most valuable , inspirational and insightful texts that captured modern world dynamics of democracy, politics, economic growth, international development and people's right.

6 年Democracy is failling to deliver growth certainly by laying the good foundations through INCLUSIVE institutions (guarantying to a certain degree the particip[ation of the majority of the population), governance, rule of law, stability and confidence for investors to invest.?Autocracy promotes also growth but it will not be sustainable because it is done through EXCLUSIVE institutions (example of the USSR), while democracy promote sustainable growth.Refer to the book "Why Nations fail" by Acemoglu and Robinson
