Edge AI Innovations #4

Hey, here are some of the note worthy news on Edge AI you won't want to miss:

  1. Taiwan based Advantech introduced a new lineup of industrial servers and solutions, harnessing the power of the 14th Generation Intel? Core? processors. These processors merge the performance profile and power ranges of the 13th Gen Intel? Core mobile processors with LGA socket flexibility, making them ideal for developers needing high AI and graphics performance for their edge computing and industrial applications. New models will be available for order in May 2024.
  2. The Netherlands-based semiconductor manufacturer NXP released NXPMCX N series of highly integrated Arm Cortex-M33 microcontrollers that are designed for high performance and low power consumption. MCX N includes intelligent peripherals and on-chip accelerators providing multitasking capabilities and performance efficiency. Select MCX N families include NXP's eIQ? Neutron neural processing unit (NPU) for machine learning applications.
  3. Norway-based fabless semiconductor company Nordic Semiconductor introduced The Nordic Thingy:53? which is an IoT prototyping platform. It makes it possible to create prototypes and proofs-of-concept without building custom hardware. The processing power and memory size of its dual Arm Cortex-M33 processors enables it to run embedded machine learning (ML) models directly on the device.

This newsletter focuses on the technological advancements and innovations that can affect Edge AI engineers, hands-on developers and decision makers. There are more exciting Edge AI news on the horizon, stay tuned for the weekly reports.
