Eden Golan Eurovision 2024: Israel's Best Representative
How poised and mesmerizing was this 20 year old performer, Eden Golan, who represented Israel with such elegance at the 2024 Eurovision contest.
I was completely blown away by how confident and unfazed this young woman seemed to be, despite all the hate and toxic energy swirling around her team's participation in the event.
She even needed a whole convoy of police cars to escort her to the venue! She needed to answer ridiculous questions from the media, which she did with incredible grace! I was stunned.
Clearly she make a decision to rise above it all, and not let anyone take away from her exciting moment:

What am I always saying?
1 - We always have this choice in life to rise above the bad vibes and sort of "cover them" or drown them out by generating good vibes.

2 - The next generation have attributes and abilities that we don't fully understand yet. There is no logical way to explain how she sailed through this whole thing - which at times seemed like a war zone - with such a professional attitude and such a big smile on her face.
3 - Part of the powerful positive energy surrounding this special delegation came from the same place it did when we all rushed to the flag from October 7th onward. When the whole country is focused on success together - we are unstoppable. And everything is super-sensitive this year - we're all far more tuned in to how important it is to support each other and our country.
Sad This Is How Events Are in 2024
The first time Israel hosted the Eurovision in Jerusalem was 1979, a year after we moved here from Canada. I remember it being one of the most exciting things happening in those days when we barely had two TV channels, for Israel to be hosting such a significant international event. There was no live streaming in those days - you could only watch it on TV. We may have even watched that one in black and white, because Israel only got color in the early 80s.
The Eurovision Song Contest is an international event that's always been about bringing different countries together to experience each other's cultures. It's always been about breaking down the barriers between us and getting closer.
But today we're living in a different world, where we let toxic things like politics seep into every single part of our lives. And as long as this continues, we won't be able to enjoy these international cultural events like before - we won't be able to focus on connecting with nearby countries, because we'll be too focused on all the things dividing us. Why? Because the media highlights the clashes - that's what makes headlines and goes viral. This is the world we live in and we all go along with it.
Thank you Josia Nakash for sharing this clear and high impact message. A gift we can, in turn, continue sharing with all those willing to listen
