November marked a busy month for EDC as we celebrated 3 awards, including the title of Engineering Firm of the Year. We also celebrated the well-deserved promotion of Richard Coughlan to the role of Group Commercial Director. EDC Appoints Richard Coughlan as Group Commercial Director.

We were delighted to share the news that Richard Coughlan was promoted to the role of Group Commercial Director at EDC, marking forward step in our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence to our clients.

In his capacity as Group Commercial Director, Richard will lead EDC’s program management strategies, overseeing market intelligence and optimising commercial performance across all projects.

Residential overheating Analysis: Meeting Sustainability Goals with CIBSE TM59.

Our very own Energy Engineers Tony McDonnell and Binara Kariyawasam explored the challenges and solutions specifically relevant to the industry, in particular, how overheating risk affects large residential projects due to climate change, urbanisation, and advanced construction methods. In this article they covered how CIBSE TM59 provides a practical roadmap to ensure thermal comfort, mitigate overheating risks, and align with sustainability goals.

Heating the Future: A Sustainable Approach with Hybrid Systems.

Our Mechanical Pawe? Krzak discussed hybrid heating systems are a practical and environmentally conscious solution for upgrading heating systems in domestic houses. Pawel discussed how combining the strengths of a heat pump and a traditional heating system, these hybrid solutions can ensure the homeowner enjoys comfortable living spaces, no matter the weather.
