Ed3 Weekly Issue #143: Simply the Best
Hello Ed3 frens,
This newsletter is focused on emerging trends in education. It is easy to focus on the “haves” rather than the “have-nots.” when talking about transformation.
Emerging trends tend to focus on advanced technology. And advanced technology usually requires vast amounts of resources.
This is particularly true in the blockchain and web3 spaces that this newsletter focuses on.
Does that mean that the world will become siloed by those with access to technology and those who don’t?
This question was addressed in this week’s deep dive with the World Economic Forum article “It’s time we transformed education. Here’s how.”
They asked:
“What if education technology companies large and small joined forces with governments and teachers to identify, trial, vet, and scale the best tools? In health, we do this with new medicines and vaccines – why not in education?”
It’s a fabulous question.
I love sharing my regular resources about blockchain, AI, and crypto. Articles like we have this week about investing in AI literacy across K-12 education, crypto Accounting Academy gaining CPE accreditation, and paving the way for seamless Web3 adoption.
We need to remember to keep in the forefront how we can “identify, trial, vet, and scale the best tools.”
Enjoy all the resources for the week! Don’t forget to:

?? Weekly Deep Dive
This article is on a critical question: How can we address the needs of the 250 million school-aged children who are not in school, many trapped in cycles of desperation, violence, and hopelessness? The global shortage of 44 million teachers and limited broadband access for one-third of the world is slowing educational progress. These gaps in resources and infrastructure make transformation seem like a far-off dream.
But what if transformation wasn’t just about advanced technology for the privileged? What if we could identify, trial, vet, and scale the best tools to create real change? This week’s deep dive asked that very question, and it’s one worth considering as we explore articles on AI literacy, blockchain, and crypto in education. Let’s think beyond access and privilege, and imagine a future where technology enables learning for all. Read
