Ed3 Weekly Issue #120: Will You Ever Learn?

Ed3 Weekly Issue #120: Will You Ever Learn?

Hello Ed3 Community,

Are you ready to level up your blockchain knowledge? If not, what are you waiting for?

As the desire to understand the power of blockchain technology grows, learning opportunities in Web3 do too. This newsletter often highlights the connections between Web3 technology and education, and now is a great time to embark on your educational journey into blockchain.

There are many resources available, many of which are free. This week's newsletter updates you on some of these options and showcases how others are advancing their learning.

Learning isn't just for adults either. This week, we highlight the Blockchain4Youth initiative, designed to “empower and inspire young generations with Web3 and crypto with the aim of cultivating future blockchain leaders.” For those "young at heart," RadQuest offers a gamified approach to learning about blockchain that's fun for all ages.

In our weekly deep dive, we feature the work of Mike Peck from Ed3 DAO. He has been diligently increasing education and outreach in the Web3 space, including an exciting partnership with Coinbase.

Enjoy this week's resources, and get out there and learn!

And don’t forget to check out my summary of this week’s resources on the Ed3 Weekly Podcast.

Bridging the Gap

This article is by Mike Peck, my former partner at the Ed3 DAO. In it, he shares the three-pronged approach by the DAO to integrate emerging technology into educational systems: education and outreach, acceleration, and research.

He also shares a recent grant approval to “develop a system that supports schools in moving from traditional systems of learner recognition to leveraging digital wallets and blockchain-issued credentials to provide a more holistic view of learner competencies.”

Educators like Mike Peck and the Ed3 DAO are leading the way for web3 integration in education. The update summarized in this article is a great way to learn about their recent accomplishments.

Thank you for stopping by for another issue of my newsletter on emerging technology in education. You can join over 1000 others across LinkedIn and SubStack. You can also listen to the podcast on Spotify here, with a supplemental episode on each issue. Learn more about me by visiting my website.
