Ed3 Weekly: Ed3 Futures

Celebrating important milestones often occurs in increments of 10 or 100, but why wait for the 100th issue when something exceptional warrants immediate recognition?

So while I might have 99 problems, finding an affordable virtual conference with a bevy of top-notch speakers isn’t one.

It is truly an honor to share with you the specialness of the upcoming Ed3 Futures event.

I’ll get my disclosure right out of the way early. I am the community engagement lead for the Ed3 DAO which is organizing this conference event. So of course I have a strong interest in sharing about Ed3 Futures.

I have had a strong interest in sharing about the work of the Ed3 DAO since its inception in 2022. To this day I am still proselytizing about the convergence of AI, web3, and emerging technologies.

So what makes Ed3 Futures so special? This is not “just another” AI conference. There are hundreds of those. This is a gathering of the finest minds in the future of learning, teaching, work, and community.

Typically, I have to participate in 3 to 4 conference events to get what I am getting at a single Ed3 Futures in one event.

To explore deep learning I have to go to one place, to emerge myself in web3 or blockchain I need to go to another, to learn the latest trends in the workforce I need to go to another still.

That’s part of what makes this conference event so special.

There is another thing. The people. The connection. The experience of discovering others playing the same fields you are.

It’s hard to find people who can easily move from Jean Piaget and Alan Turing to Chris Dixon and Sir Ken Robinson. But that’s what you’ll find here.

So this week I’m featuring some of these transformative thought leaders. They are all part of the headlining presenters at the Ed3 Futures event. Each one offers something unique in the work of transforming education.
