Ed Lamont Leads TALK OF KINGS Book Discussion at the Society of the Four Arts

On October 15, 2024, at 5:30 pm, Ed Lamont leads a TALK OF KINGS BOOK DISCUSSION at the Society of the Four Art's King Library in Palm Beach.

In?FRONTIER REBELS Patrick Spero tells the largely ignored story of The Fight for Independence in the American West, 1765-1776. Incidents leading to the American Revolution typically include the Stamp Act, Boston Massacre, and Boston Tea Party - all east coast events. Yet, in the mid-18th century discontent with both British and Pennsylvania proprietary rule anchored in the fear and hatred of American Indians meant trouble.

Who were the “Black Boys”? Were they outlaws or Patriots? What did they do to take frontier law into their own hands and make this story so uncomfortable to tell?

To learn more visit: Frontier Rebels: The Fight for Independence in the American West, 1765-1776 – The Society of the Four Arts or call (561) 655-7226 to visit the Society of the Four Arts Box Office. In-person and virtual attendance options are available.

Ed Lamont is a docent at Whitehall - the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum in Palm Beach where he’s led over 3,000 guided tours into Florida's Gilded Age history; his favorite being Whitehall Holiday Evening Tours every year the week before Christmas. Ed also leads historical tours of the Breakers Hotel, facilitates book discussions at the King Library, and gives art gallery talks at the Society of the Four Arts. Ed speaks at Historical Societies, Daughters/Sons of the American Revolution Chapters, Colonial Dames of America, Woman's Clubs, Mayflower Society, Lake Worth Pioneer Association, and Rotary Clubs throughout Florida.
