Ed Lamont Leads TALK OF KINGS Book Discussion at the Society of the Four Arts

Ed Lamont leads a book discussion of Martin Dugard's "INTO AFRICA: The Epic Adventures of Stanley & Livingstone" on October 10, 2023 at 5:30 pm. The event is live at the Gioconda & Joseph King Library on the Society of the Four Arts campus in Palm Beach. A virtual broadcast option is available as well.

“Dr. Livingstone, I resume?” is perhaps the most memorable question asked in the 19th century. Martin Dugard tells the unlikely story of how New York Herald journalist Henry Morton Stanley accomplished what England’s Royal Geographical Society explorers could not – find Dr. David Livingstone. The endurance and travails of Stanley and Livingston are chronicled as both searched for the source of the Nile River in Central Africa.
