Ed Cook is Air Products' Creighton Terminal's 2017 Driver of the Year

Brian Welsh places 2nd and Dave McFarland takes a close 3rd

In late September, the Creighton, Pennsylvania distribution terminal held its "Driver of the Year" competition followed by a luncheon for all the families and plant personnel who helped out with the competition.

It was a perfect fall day with five competitors hoping for their name to be called as the first place winner. This challenging event consists of a written test, pre-trip test and the road course. Participation in the Basic Safety Process (BSP) program is also taken into consideration. It was a very competitive and fun time for everyone. When the dust settled, Ed Cook (pictured below) came out on top as the 2017 Driver of the year, with Brian Welsh placing second and Dave McFarland a close third.

Year-in and year-out our drivers are put through some of the most demanding driving situations and challenging maneuvers and still manage to safely deliver our product everyday -- no matter the weather or road conditions. Safety is always their number one goal and they enjoy a little annual friendly competition to keep their driving skills sharp.
