ECOTECH NEVER SLEEPS

The tagline of the Citibank Group CITI NEVER SLEEPS has always fascinated me : enough to dig deeper into the origins of this famous saying. My original understanding was that since the Citi works around the globe, spanning timelines from Japan in Asia to the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, it cannot afford to sleep. I was mistaken.

?Apparently this was the brainchild of a fellow called John Reed who put together a customer friendly initiative to “create a healthy, positive and straightforward relationship with the customer." Written on vacation, this document became known in Citicorp annals as the "Memo from the Beach."

Thus was born the Two ATM per location concept on the premise that machines are not infallible and therefore the need for a standby unit to offer the customer 24 hour uninterrupted service.

This is precisely what we have been practicing in Ecotech ever since inception. We work round the clock, 24/7 in our sites offering uninterrupted service of the highest quality day after day after day for years together. There is also a strict rule in our Company that no employee shall ever switch off his handset at any time and shall be at all times be available on call.?

We have completed more than 1800 Plant-Years of O&M in this mode.?No other agency in India, neither local level nor national level players can even come close to matching us in this feat.?We are Head and Shoulders above any and all competition.

A small example from recent Covid times will suffice to illustrate my point.?When the first Covid lockdown was announced sometime in mid March 2020, a National Agency which was operating an STP serving a large 2000 flat community in Bangalore promptly issued a Notice invoking “Force Majeure” and washed their hands off, disclaiming any responsibility should any disruption occur in the STP.?At Ecotech we cannot even dream of doing this.?On the contrary Ecotech will redouble its efforts and take all necessary additional measures and precautions to ensure that the community does not suffer.
