The economic benefit of firefighting
A Fire Engineering article was published in the march 2021 issue, it sums up the research Pr Fran?ois Delorme and I did on the topic for different Fire Departments.
The purpose is to shed a new light on the role of Firefighters and EMS First Responders, in the local and nation wide economic chain. A different angle that values the everyday work of Fire Departments in protecting their communities.
A heartfelt thank you to M. Gordon Routley who helped me organize my thoughts and the information in the article. A special thanks to the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal, Quebec's association of Fire Chiefs and civil security managers (AGSICQ) and to the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs for their support.
