?????? Consumer Trends: Focus on Generation B

Baby Boomers tend to favor brands they have been loyal to for years, making them a significant target for companies’ loyalty strategies.

Although Generation B was initially hesitant to adopt online shopping, this trend has evolved over time.

?? Generation B Spends Less but More Regularly

In 2023, Germany leads in terms of average online spending by Generation B:

???? German buyers spent €1,948 and made 44.1 online orders. ???? In the UK, Generation B spent €1,570 online for 58 online orders. ???? French consumers spent €1,209 and made 21.1 online orders. ???? Italians spent €940 and made 21.4 online orders. ???? Spaniards spent €893 and made 22.5 online orders.

Compared to the overall average annual spending across all generations, spending by Generation B is lower in all analyzed countries. However, their purchasing frequency is higher.

Members of Generation B spend less than other generations but are more regular buyers.

Key insights?

  • Generation B spends less online than other generations, but does so more regularly.
