In the depths of life's winding maze,
I've weathered storms and felt the blaze,
Of failures looming, dreams astray,
Grasping at shadows, slipping away.
At the final step, I stumbled, fell,
As friends departed, love bid farewell.
Each loss a wound, too deep to bear,
Yet life's gentle whispers filled the air.
But now, the weight of truth descends,
A cruel reminder, how life bends.
We age, we grow, and fade away,
Leaving behind the light of day.
My heart, once strong, now quakes in fear,
At the thought of those I hold so dear.
My parents, pillars, grown frail and old,
Their presence cherished, more than gold.
Day by day, I feel the weight,
Of impending loss, a bitter fate.
The night brings dread, the morning's light,
A haunting echo of the coming night.
I fear the silence, their voices gone,
No longer there to guide me on.
Their absence looming, a chilling void,
In every moment, my fears deployed.
For in their eyes, I see my own,
A reflection of the love I've known.
Without their gaze, I lose my way,
A shadowed path, without a ray.
Oh, how I long to hold them near,
To banish every trace of fear.
But in the silence, I find my plea,
A whispered prayer, that they'll stay with me.
For in their presence, I find my truth,
A beacon of hope, amidst the ruth.
Though fear may linger, and doubts may roam,
Their love, eternal, guides me home.
