EBEC Challenge 2021
Comparison between CAD model and physical prototype

EBEC Challenge 2021

Today I would like to share with you an experience I and my team, Luca Adamo, Francesca Giovanna Lanzotti and Andrea Grasso, had. Last week we competed in the EBEC Challenge (European Best Engineering competition) organised by BEST Napoli. The competition consists of designing and building a working prototype using material provided by the organisers, in a single day. This year the task was to build a remotely controlled robotic arm capable of grasping and moving objects of different shapes. Despite the limitations imposed by the global pandemic, my team and I managed to coordinate in order to produce not only a physical prototype, but also a virtual CAD model and a final PowerPoint presentation. Thanks to excellent teamwork, our prototype passed all the tests and we won the regional round and gained access to the national round.

We would like to thank the project manager Giorgia Migliaccio, the Public relation responsible Giovanni De Pascale, the TD Responsibile Eleonora Lama, Logistic responsible Raffale Marotta from BEST Napoli and last but not least the main Sponsor TOTARO srl, for this stimulating experience.
