Resistance to antibiotics in Gram-negative pathogens is nothing new. Nevertheless, there is a need for tests not only for common resistances such as KPC, NDM and CTX-M, but also for resistance genes, such as GIM and GES or AmpC, which are still rare at the moment, in order to ensure a complete diagnosis. For this we have developed the eazyplex? SuperBug series for you. See the published references at the foot this document..
The eazyplex? Gram-negative sets detect these resistant genes;
NDM VIM KPC OXA-48 OXA-23 OXA-40 OXA-58 OXA-181
IMP IMI GES GIM CTX-M-1 Group CTX-M-9 Group
A. baumannii OXA-51 ACC CMY-II DHA MOX
These 19 resistant genes are presented in 8 combinations available in the Amplex eazyplex? format. To view the combinations check https://www.eazyplex.com/en-gb/resistenzen-bei-gram-negativen
Common Features of these eazyplex? products;
Lyophilized reagents ? 5 minute sample pretreatment ? No DNA extraction ? Variable device selection ? Real-Time detection ? CE IVD
eazyplex? SuperBug CRE
eazyplex? SuperBug CRE is a molecular biological rapid test for the detection of carbapenemases-producing bacteria from the following samples:
colonies from culture plates. positive blood cultures. directly from the swab. directly from a urine sample.
Kit A, B or C parameters:
The carbapenemases detected by the eazyplex? SuperBug complete tests are listed in the table
eazyplex? SuperBug expert
Resistance to antibiotics in Gram-negative pathogens is nothing new. Nevertheless, there is a need for tests for resistance genes, which are currently still unusual, in order to ensure a complete diagnosis. With eazyplex? SuperBug expert you can also detect the rare carbapenemases IMP, IMI, GES and GIM quickly and reliably in just 20 minutes.
eazyplex? SuperBug AmpC
You can differentiate the following AmpC groups as culture confirmation within 15 minutes with the eazyplex? SuperBug AmpC:
ACC, CMY II, DHA MOX
eazyplex? SuperBug Acineto
Fight against the global threat - MDR A. baumannii!
With the eazyplex? SuperBug Acineto you can detect the OXA variants (OXA-51, OXA-23 -, - 40 and -58-like) and NDM in just 15 minutes.
The majority of A. baumannii forms various OXA carbapenemases (OXA-58 type, OXA-24 type, OXA-23 type) which occur chromosomally encoded or plasmid encoded within the species or can be exchanged between different Acinetobacterspecies. The OXA-51 type chromosomally encoded carbapenemases present in all A. baumannii can also contribute to 1 carbapenem resistance...“
With the eazyplex? SuperBug Acineto you can detect all these relevant OXA types
OXA51 OXA-23 OXA-40 OXA-58 like NDM
in just 15 minutes
The eazyplex? test system is based on a freeze dried, ready to use amplification reaction and can be stored direct at the workplace.
During the amplification the result is shown in Real-Time. TAT from one of the eazyplex readers such as eazyMini.
When you invest in eazyMini you open the door to a wide range of pathogens with TATs below 30 minutes!
