Eazl Progress Report: Q4 2018
We're making some relatively big changes at Eazl. You'll learn more in this update.
First, you will find a new area of reporting in this update: student service engagements. A student service engagement is when Eazl's student support team provides a specific microservice for a student. For example, when one of our support team members provides a student with detailed feedback on the resume they've built in Eazl's Career Hacking course.
Starting in 2019, Eazl will be implementing a new educational model it has developed: the FARA Model. If you're an investor who has signed the Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) we sent earlier this month, you have access to the details of this model in the confidential information section of the investor update that was sent earlier today.
If you want a very short update, here's a 1-minute video update that omits most of the details you'll find below:
Here are some key statistics from this update:
- 8,514 additional students enrolled in Eazl courses in Q4 of 2018
- 225,046 minutes of Eazl Courseware was watched in Q4 of 2018
Progress Through Student Support
We believe that basing Eazl's future on paid online course enrollments is ultimately a bad strategy. Why?
- Piracy is rampant
- Revenue / Enrollment is on a clear downward trend (See Figure 1)
- Many people are unwilling to pay for content
- Paywalls inhibit community growth
- Oversupply of online courses is creating an unfavorable landscape for creators like Eazl
So what's our answer? We continue to invest in providing value outside of educational content. We have already had some success. In Q4 of 2018, our student support team:
- successfully facilitated the first purchases of EazlCoins? (used to purchase additional student services from us) by Eazl students
- verified and issued 120 custom student certificates
- reviewed 68 resumes that had been built using Eazl's courseware
- established apartnership with the EDHEC Global MBA program where Eazl provides the Career Hacking course and a resume review for every MBA student
Thanks for reading this update! A majority of Eazl shareholders are now students. If you're interested in becoming an owner, you can purchase real ownership shares in the business securely and quickly by visiting https://invest.eazl.co.
Here's to a great 2019!
