Eaton Arrowsmith Academies: Celebrating 20 Years of Impact and Embracing a Nonprofit Future

I am excited to announce that Eaton Arrowsmith Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia, will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2025. Additionally, Eaton Arrowsmith Academy in Redmond, Washington, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Over 3,000 children, teenagers, and adults have walked through our doors to enhance their cognitive abilities and build their self-confidence.

We are now embarking on a new journey. Eaton Arrowsmith Academies are transitioning to nonprofit organizations and have applied for charitable and tax-exempt status. We wanted to share this news with our friends, colleagues, and alumni, and we hope you will stay informed about our developments.

I realized it was time for the academy to embrace this transformation into a nonprofit. After turning 60 this summer, I recognized that I may not be around forever. Establishing a board of directors to guide the academy's future is a prudent choice.

Many parents have expressed their desire to donate, and now there is a formal opportunity for them to do so. This will enable us to offer scholarships to families in need, enhance our academic programs, and support our outstanding teaching and administrative staff. It is also crucial for both academies to thrive and serve as examples of what is possible for children and teenagers with learning differences. We aspire to expand our outreach and educational efforts, and this transition to a nonprofit will help us achieve that goal.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Howard Eaton, Ed.M.

Executive Director, Eaton Arrowsmith Academy Association (Vancouver, BC) and Eaton Arrowsmith Academy (Redmond, WA)
