Well, as we all know there are sugars in fruits and this has thrown people to believe that fruit is bad for you when you are on a fat loss journey. BUT my answer to this question is; No, fruit is NOT bad for your fat loss.
Here is why; Sugar is the simplest form of carbohydrate. It occurs naturally in lots of foods and yes fruit contains several kinds of sugars and roughly half of them come from fructose.
But fruit is more than just fructose, most fruits high in nutrients and fibre, which can boost your fullness. Plus it doesn't cause fat-promoting blood sugar spikes the same way as processed foods that contain fructose do.
Then we have the calorie side of it, fruits are very low in calories and of course, it's easier to quickly down a can of fizzy drink but we rarely overload on fruit. In fact, studies show that most of us aren't consuming nearly enough.
So yes fruits have sugars but these nature’s ready-made snack packed with vitamins, fibre, and other nutrients will help support a healthy diet and your fat loss journey.
Here are just a few that I recommend:
??Grapefruit - Grapefruit is a cross between a pomelo and an orange and is commonly associated with dieting and weight loss.
??Apples - Apples are low in calories and high fibre
??Berries - Berries are low-calorie nutrient powerhouses.
??Stone Fruits (They include peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, and apricots.) Stone fruits are low-GI, low-calorie, and rich in nutrients like vitamins C and A.
??Kiwifruit - Very nutrient-dense, kiwis are an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin E, folate, and fibre.
??Melons - Melons are low in calories and have a high water content, which makes them very weight loss friendly.
??Oranges - Like all citrus fruits, oranges are low in calories while high in vitamin C and fibre. They are also very filling.
And just keep in mind that it’s best to eat fruits whole rather than juiced, apart from that I would say adding fruit to your daily intake of food not only should be done but also fruits taste amazing and will keep your sweet tooth at bay.
Let's enjoy the fruitsssss :)
