Powdered Egyptian mummies can cure illness - is a myth that drove people for centuries. Rich and poor chased 'Mummia' a pulverized substance, that tasted awful, which was derived from Egyptian mummies. In fact, until 1924 this is in the cataloging of Merck & Co and one can buy this in London shops.
From headaches, paralysis, epilepsy, and plagues Mummia is believed to be a great cure for 500 years starting from the 12th century. Then physicians the Apothecaries, prescribed according to the illness. Remember in this world there were no antibiotics or medical science developed, Thanks Science - now we are much more civilized.
A sidebar here: the royals and elite took Pharos mummies to maintain their royalty.
Yet the matter of the fact is, they believed that Mummies cured disease and were cared. But it is the belief that cured them not the dried human carcass.? In modern medicine, this is called the Placebo effect. If one believes in something strongly it eventually happens.
Strong evidence of the Law of Attraction, the power of our thoughts.
