Eating Easter Eggs in January
Imagine you walk into the office after your December holiday. Refreshed and armed with a brand new diary and a sun tan. You bump into Bob, who is eating an easter egg. Bob is not in the new year spirit, he skipped past Valentine’s Day and Human Rights Day, and plunged straight into Easter.
What would you think about Bob’s actions?
“Don’t get ahead of yourself Bobâ€
Are you at risk of being a Bob?
Consider this:
From 13 October 2022 to 31 December 2022 is?79 days.
From 12 January 2023 to 1 April 2023 is?79 days.
We are fast approaching the time of year when?you’ll start hearing:
“The year is almost doneâ€
If you focus on how many days are left in the year that is where your focus will go, rather than what you can achieve.
“Where focus goes, energy flows. And where energy flows, whatever you're focusing on grows†(Tony Robbins)
Let’s not eat easter eggs in January, the same way we don’t think of the year as almost done on 13 October.
Focus on what can be done,
Focus on what progress can be made,
Focus on what impact can be achieved,
Focus on what contributions can be made,
What can you do in 2022 to be a BETTER team member?
One way we equip employees to be BETTER team members is through one of our?EQ workshops.
There are 79 days (1 896 hours) left in 2022.?Will you spend?3 hours?(which is 0,16% of the remaining hours of 2022 on helping your team become a?GREAT team?
Go and be a BETTER team member,
SJ
