MONDAY MUSINGS. Your 'Yes' Is Only As Valuable As Your 'No'.
If you listened to my podcast with Julia Samuel this week, you would have heard a strong line where Julia said to me: "If you never say 'no' what's your 'yes' worth??
And so it got me thinking more this week, on the value which lies behind saying 'no'.?

BRAIN BITES. Aspartame: Safe Or Not?
Aspartame is a sugar substitute that is used in many foods and beverages. It is also known by the brand names NutraSweet and Equal.
The World Health Organization?(WHO) has classified aspartame as a possible carcinogen (Group 2B). This means that there is limited evidence for carcinogenicity in humans, but there is evidence for cancer in experimental animals.
A recent?French population study?with over 100,000 people, observed an increased risk of cancer associated with aspartame consumption.?

One of my favourite recipes is a delicious green soup which can be served chilled in summer or warmed through on a cooler day. Serve with our butterbean hummus and a variety of fresh vegetable crudités to boost the vegetable intake within this meal.
