Do I need to eat the Same amount of Calories Every day ?
Absolutely NOT! Like most things what really matters most is the average sum of your EFFORTS over time.(Patience) Some find it beneficial to think of their calorie control target as a larger, weekly number to be managed, which allows for a greater degree of flexibility. Myself personally i like to think about what i call "Calorie Waves" beginning with a lower calorie day , followed by a day of my target weight loss calories, followed then by a day over my my traget weight loss and then repeating this cycle. This gives me the feeling of only being a day away from y higher calorie day giving me an ease up feeling of restriction!
Is PROTEIN really as important as what i keep hearing?
1,000,000% Yes, in fact it's more important. several clinical studies have concluded that eating/consuming more protein that the recommended dietary allowance(around 50-60 g daily) can induce weight loss and improve body composition, even when calorie intake isn't accounted for. Basically meaning that the simple act of eating more protein alone has been shown to help reduce body fat. Protein is also muscle sparing, meaning it will help you avoid losing any of your heard earned gains whilst chasing fat loss!! Carbs Arrrggghh The enemy? Should i cut out Carbs?
Once you have your Protein and Calories in order, you're just left with Carbs and Fats to divvy up. So long as you don't veer over your calorie target, how you do this is really down to general preference. If you are a carb lover but struggling to lose weight then you will need to reduce your carb intake, not because they are worse than fats or proteins, but simly because if they make u the bulk of your eating plan, they will be the easiestto reduce(NOT ELIMINATE)
the key is to strike a balance of carbs and fats that allows you to see progress consistently, while feeling energized and unrestricted. There really is no "one size fits all" or "super shred" "bikini bod" answer here, so don't be afraid to experiment and find the right balance for your mind and body

At this point i want to flag the difference between "Optimal" and "sustainable". Whilst you may read that you should spread your calories through the day and this can aid fat loss, these effects are simply negligible when compared with the results you get from simply hitting the number. It really is a recurring theme, but find a routine you'll stick to and you will find that you trump trying to optimize your efforts, rather than falling short of the mark and drifting back into your old habits.
