CTR tells you the percentage of people who click, but not the total number of people who convert (e.g., made a purchase, signed up, subscribed).?In other words, it’s possible for you to have a high CTR with a low conversion rate, leaving you with a high cost per conversion (CPC).?

There is no such thing as a good CTR by itself. It always needs to be used as a comparison metric, rather than an absolute one. You can say that a certain ad has a higher CTR than another ad, but this doesn't necessarily mean that one CTR is good and the other is bad.

How to improve your CTR and get better results for your campaign?

1. Write Compelling Action-Oriented Ad Copy?

This refers to the copy that conveys actionable value to the audience.

I.e : “Ready to get started?” “Experience luxury with a single tap.”?

The purpose of writing an action-oriented copy is to set the user's expectation of what they can get by following your Call to Action.?

Adding the right CTA in your ad-copies can have a significant impact on your overall CTR.

2. Use The Best Ad Extensions?

Relevant extensions can automatically increase your Ad Rank and further highlight your ads on Google’s search results page.?Google favors them because it allows Google to offer a better variety of ad formats and include more relevant information for the searcher. The Extension formats include location information, call buttons, additional text, links to specific parts of your website, etc.

Ad extensions increase the total number of clicks and valuable user interaction. ?

?3. Utilise the In-Market Audience?

This refers to people whose previous search matches the goods or services you provide.?You can either observe or target the In-Market audience.?Observing In-Market audiences means that you can manage the bids up or down for keywords searched by users in those audiences. This way, everyone can still see your ads. But targeting is narrower, as it allows the ads to be only seen by people in that audience.

4. GeoTargeting

Geo Targeting refers to targeting a visitor based on their geolocation (country, state or city). Geo Targeting involves delivering dynamic content or information that is highly related to a visitor’s location. Geo-targeted advertising can also be eminently helpful to larger businesses and e-commerce stores looking to target buyers based on larger regions.

5. Test Dynamic Keywords Insertion

Keyword insertion refers to the insertion of the keyword or search term, which is most relevant to the ad that you display. It can help make your ads more relevant to people searching for what you offer. The best practice to run a Google Ad Campaign is to have at least three ads running all the time.?

You should keep in mind that at least one of your ad variations must use dynamic keyword insertion in Heading 1 of your ad.
