Easy to understand AI bytes...

Good morning, everyone! In this iteration, I wanted to share some cool bytes of learning I've been working on for a while but never shared in the newsletter.

For the past couple of months, I've been creating "shorts" (reels , or tiktoks , whatever you call them) to explain AI concepts in under a minute.

It's been really fun but quite challenging. It's really good practice to explain something in a short 10-ish-minute presentation and then condense it to keep only the most relevant parts in a single-minute presentation. I'd recommend everyone try this to practice "being simple," something we often lose when diving into expertise.

I want to share some of the recent ones with you and get your feedback on them.

What do you think? Should it be more in-depth, shorter and even simpler?

Would you have any topics you'd like me to cover?

Here are my favourite couple of recent ones...

This issue is brought to you thanks to OnDemand .

2?? The first style: demystify news

I've worked on two styles and the first is to "demystify news." What I mean here is that I try to make a very short video similar to a twitter post where I try to help you make a decision for a new model or new approach. Here are a few examples...

GPT4 vs GPT4o vs GPT4 Turbo - How to choose?

And here are some other examples when GPT-4o just came out along with the agent store from OpenAI...

What are GPT Agents? When to use them?

GPT4o vs GPT4 - When to use GPT4o?

3?? The second style: "explained simply" or popularization

In this style, my goal is to explain a "complex" concept as simply as possible and make it fit one minute. Simplicity often requires analogies and longer sentences, which makes it very challenging to fit a strict time stamp while keeping it simple and not introducing advanced terms. Still, it's a fun and worthwhile challenge.

Here are some of my favorite examples. I'd love your thoughts on them, and I hope you like the explanations!

How can GPT control the length of its responses?

Why is there an output token limit for GPt-4 (and other LLMs)?

Why is RAG important

The temperature in GPT4

What is a Re-Ranker? (Eg. Cohere Rerank)

Again, please let me know if there are any other topics you'd like me to cover in these shorts series. I already have a dozen others on my YouTube , Instagram , TikTok if you are curious to learn more.
