Is it easy to be a practicing professional? Let us keep it positive and be a part of success story. You can be CA, CMA, CS, Advocate, Engineer, Doctor, Interior designer, Architect and many more.
I will share it as a chartered accountant?
Post 2008 when I became the CA and opted for practice, initial days were challenging. Many thoughts were flaunting about settlement, quality life, happy family, continuous flow of clients and so on. Being the first CA from family and with mediocre background, it was little challenging compared to many other CA friends who had legacy of professional practice.
During initial days, like other professionals, I was extra-energetic and extra-enthusiastic about own ideas and way of doing practice. Fortunately, universe offered me two persons - CA Sanjeev Ubgade and CA Reeta Ashok Kothary. These professionals directed me and helped to cool my nerves.?
Two thoughts which provoked me to be industrious for successful career -
Firstly, like others, I too had aspirations like I need to have own office, own brand, continuous flow of work and so on.... As this thought touched my mind, I realised my first house will be after my office whereas my salaried friends will have their own bought home in first 2-3 years only.?

Secondly, to choose between specialisation or general practice. I chose to be specialised in whatever I will do. When maximum of traditional practice is being taken care by softwares, I decided to pursue studies periodically and upgrade the knowledge and portfolio of services. Accordingly, over last 13 years, I took around 10+ certifications including #CISA, #DISA, #CEH, #Forensics, #MBA etc. Absolutely, the Continuous Professional Education (#cpecredits) of #icai helps to update and learn practical aspects. Over years, I groomed my career in #insurance, #nbfc #manufacturing and #serviceindustry.
In nutshell, to meet the vibrant business needs we need to be vibrant and our true competition is with ourselves only. Above two challenges triggered me to pull my sleeves and be ready for the things coming in between me and my dreams.
