Easy Install DeepSeek
1.????? Go to Ollama.com
2.????? Click on DeepSeek-R1
3.????? Click the pulldown to pick the model you want (I chose 32b).
4.????? Click download on the upper right.
5.????? Once downloaded, install it.
6.????? Press Windows+R
7.????? Type in cmd. Press ok.
8.????? You will see C:\Users\(your name)>
9.????? Type in "ollama run deepseek-r1:32b" (without quotes), or, if you chose another model, type that in, for example, if you chose the 8b model, for example, type in "ollama run deepseek-r1:8b"
10.? Press enter. Wait for everything to finish downloading.
11.? Go to chatboxai.app/en
12.? Click Free Download (For Windows) and then install.
13.? Open Chatbox and in settings under Model Provider pick Ollama, the API host will populate automatically (it will be your local host aka you own laptop). Under Model pick deepseek-r1:32b or whichever you installed.
14.? Start a New Chat and ask away. You now have an LLM that does not need an internet connection to run!
