Photo transfer to wood
Ok its not necessarily something specifically for your children, but it is also a great gift idea.
What you need
Mod Podge, paint brush, paper, wood slice and a photo printed onto paper (works using laserjet printers).
Step 1. Ensure that the part of your photo you require to transfer fits onto the wood.
Step 2. Cover the surface of the wood slice in a good layer of Mod Podge. Remember if you want some of the wood to show ensure not to cover that area in Mod Lodge.
Step 3. Put the photo image down on top of the wood slice with the Mod Podge surface. Ensure to press down any bubbles (or this will spoil the image). I would leave this for 24 hours and it would be better to leave a heavy item on top to ensure all of the picture is in contact with the Mod Podge.
Step 4. After 24 hours damp some paper and rub off the paper (with the image). The Mod Podge will retain the image soaking it into solution. Then as it dries it locks in the picture.
These really make great gifts for people and it is a fun way to search through pictures with your children. Especially if this is a gift for friends and family!
Either way enjoy this quick craft idea.
