Easy and Fast Ways to Look YOUR Best!
Natalia Zurawska
Professional Makeup Artist, Hair styling, Body Painting and SPFX Makeup at Judy Inc.
Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to show you how fast and easy it is to achieve these looks to look and feel your best. I have been a professional makeup/hair/spfx artist for the last 10 years and I wake up looking like this. Yep, it does not get more real than this - right down to the fraggle rock hair. At my age (35), I notice the pillow creases take longer to go away and yet I still get the occasional pimple. Here is how I begin my day. Each look (hair and makeup) takes 30 minutes tops and that is from scratch. Going from day to night, or day to pinup takes 10 minutes at most. Let me show you how -
I always wash my hair the night before as I prefer not to blow dry. I always add mousse after my shower to damp hair as it really helps hold any style.
In the morning I wash my face, check for any eyebrow hairs to be tweezed, moisturize face and neck, add lip balm all while my flat iron is heating up.
My favorite products and tools:
I cleanse my face with Mereadesso's Face and Neck Cleanser as I love how clean and wonderful my face feels. It works as a cleanser, scrub and toner all in one. Next, I apply the All in One Moisturizer which is chock full of antioxidants and minerals.
I apply lip balm now as it has time to be absorbed by the time I apply gloss.
Tweezing stray brows now is perfect as makeup will cover any redness.
Natural Day Look
Steps, my favorite tools and products for this look:
Solia Flat Iron - great for straight and curly looks!
1. Preheat iron and brush hair.
Moroccan Argan Oil
2. Apply Moroccan Oil to fingers and gently and evenly apply to ends first moving upwards towards the crown of your head avoiding roots. This is because the ends need the most amount of moisture.
Face Atelier Ultra Pro Foundation #5
3. Apply to face blending well into the hairline, ears, and neck. I use my fingers for person use as the warmth helps to blend the foundation easily. I love the Cover Fx foundation brush for clients as the bristles are so soft and dense to create a total flawless face.
Cover Fx Concealer in NMedium (neutral)
Using the CoverFx concealer brush, I dot blemishes with concealer and blend away edges. I like to apply concealer after foundation so that it does not get wiped away. I also apply a little to my under eyes and blend for a flawless, bright look.
Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 20
Makeup is set with Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation with SPF 20 to get rid of extra sheen and protect skin from UVA and UVB. I love the dial as you go container. No waste and super fresh, hygienic powder with each use. I love the #182 Buffer brush by M.A.C as the powder really gets absorbed into the skin for long lasting results. Apply powder to brush and shake off remnants. In a circular motion, blend powder in.
Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics in Light
I like to draw in little hairs with the perfectly shape brush. This formula comes in light and dark and seems to match virtually every brow shade. Stays put through perspiration as well.
Eyeshadow by M.A.C in Vanilla, Semoa Silk, Shroom
I apply Vanilla in the inner corner of my eyes to make them pop. Semoa silk is blended to the rest of my eyelid. I use shroom as a highlighter for my brow. For everyday, I use an all over eyeshadow brush, using the lightest colour first.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
Curl lash time! No sleep? No worries. This curler is the ultimate for opening eyes right up.
Cover Girl LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara
Apply to lashes from root to tip in a zig zag motion. I also like to use an eye liner brush and go on top of my lashes to saturate and separate each one. This enhances volume and length.
Eye Liner brush by Quo Professional
Pressed Powder Blush by M.A.C in Melba
I begin by swirling a blush brush and shaking off remnants so that both sides are symmetrical in colour distribution and I apply to apples of cheeks. Smile (always a great thing) to make the apples of your cheeks pop. I love this shade as it looks great on everyone.
Lipglass by M.A.C in Prrrr
Simply apply to your lips to complete makeup for the natural look.
Finish the whole look by sectioning hair into 4 sections. 2 in the front, bottom back and top back. Gently glide the flat iron from the middle of the hair first downwards towards ends, then move up to the root and glide all the way down. If you have straight hair, I prefer to do less root as it is nice to keep a little volume. Once you are done the back, I like to flat iron the front and curl in the pieces slightly to frame the face. The mousse and argan oil applied from before helps protect hair from heat damage, reduce frizz and add shine. I finish off with a drop of Moroccan Oil.
Easy Evening "Get the Look - How - To" and Favorite Products
Going to an evening look is so easy once your day look is complete. The Conair Curl Secret Infiniti Pro is a necessity for me. With 3 different curl sizes and 2 different heat settings, it is perfect for getting glamorous, sexy curls quickly. The chamber literally sucks in hair strands. Once you hear 3 beeps, release for perfect curls every time. I follow the same steps as I did to straighten my hair until the whole head is complete. I prefer a more wispy curl and always say hair is like cookies "It needs a few minutes to cool". I then use a tail comb and wisp out the defined curls, finishing with turning my head over and spraying hair with a climate control hairspray. I love the one by Tresemme as it really holds yet may be brushed through for perfect results every time.
*Best Tip - if you prefer more volume at the crown of your head, tease away using a 3 strokes for teasing and 1 stroke for smoothing to prevent tangles. Spray hairspray directly into roots and use the actual hairspray can to create volume by rolling and setting it horizontally where you want the most volume. The coolness from the can and warmth from hair sets it.
For makeup, wipe away neutral eyeshadow. I love the Pre-cleanse wipes by Dermalogica.
I apply a little concealer to eyelids and blend. I reapply Vanilla eyeshadow by M.A.C to the inner corners of my eyes as I love a contrast. Next comes Smut eyeshadow by M.A.C which I apply as close to the eyeline as possible and blending upwards using the same, however cleaned eyeshadow brush as before. Making sure the eyeshadow is symmetrical, well blended and not above the eyelid is key to achieving a perfect smoky eye. Using an eyeliner brush, I also smudge the Smut eyeshadow underneath the outer edges of my bottom eyeline.
For added drama, I apply #20 lashes by M.A.C to the outer ends of my eyes. I love these lashes as even if there are some tears, I have never had any problems with them budging (shout out to brides) and they look amazing on everyone. I use Duo surgical adhesive and apply the glue directly on the eyelash band. I let the glue get tacky for a few seconds before I apply as close to my natural lashes/eye line as possible, making sure they are as close to my eye line as possible. Once the glue is clear it means it is dry. I use Cover Girl 24 Lashblast Hour mascara as eyeliner (2 in 1 trick) by gliding my eye liner brush and creating a symmetrical defined line.
Eye liner is perfect for fixing any little errors with eyelash application by blending and creating a seamless result.
Quo Professional Eyeliner brush
I use the Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse wipes to wipe any dark eyeshadow remnants that may have fallen under my eyes. A quick touch up with concealer perfects the makeup. I also touch up brows with Gimme Brow if needed, add a little more Melba blush. For lips, I simply apply the Elizabeth Mineralize Powder Foundation for a matte, neutral finish.
Enjoy this look and hope you have as good of a time as you look and feel!
Going from Evening to Pinup Perfection only involves a few tweaks - Here the steps, tools and my favorite products. Enjoy!
I start by sectioning out the front of my hair and brushing it forward. Next, using a couple of clear elastics, I create a not fully pulled through ponytail. I fuss until I am happy and create a messy bun. I secure with Goody Spin Pins.
These pins are amazing! They come in a variety of hair colour shades and one is equal to 22 bobbi pins!!! That's right! Simply screw in on either side of your bun for complete security. They can also be reused and there is no hair damage.
If you have fine hair, using a bun net is really easy as well to create a fuller bun, which may be centered or on the side.
With the front piece of my hair sectioned out, I use a tail comb and tease the roots and create volume. I smooth back and secure with 2 bobbi pins in an x shape, making sure the section is symmetrical. I spray down the sides and bun with hairspray.
For makeup, I use the #182 Buff Brush by M.A.C and apply a lighter powder to pale myself out a little.
I use the Dermalogica Pre-cleanse wipes to remove the dark shadow from the evening look. Again, I apply a little Cover Fx concealer and do my eyes as I would in the natural look. I apply the same Vanilla, Shroom and Semoa Silk shadows by M.A.C like I did in the natural look. #20 lashes and liner are applied as in the evening look. Eyebrows are more arched and shaped with Gimme Brow by Benefit. A mole is accentuated for vintage sex appeal.
While keeping the Elizabeth Arden Mineralize Foundation Powder on from the evening look on lips (it helps keep red lipstick on), I line my lips with Covergirl's lip liner in "Passion" which is a gorgeous red. I fill in my whole lip and make my top lip look a little like a "heart" to add sexiness. Next, I apply Laura Mercier's luxurious lipstick in "Haute Red and blot.
*Best Tips - Apply a little powder around the lip line to prevent lipstick from bleeding.
Use straws to keep lips in pristine condition.
The end of the night, goes right back to the beginning with cleansing and moisturizing with Mereadesso. :)
