Good morning world how are you, I am freaking fantastic! The sun is up, yes, Karen, I slept in, and it felt good. I laid with my Queen, stroking her back, kissing her head, I'm a man in love, and I make no apologies. I ache for those that have yet to find their mate, they are out there, keep wandering. Not all those who wander are lost.
Well, I had a fantastic day yesterday! Let me share; we had our agency meeting where every team member shows up, we do a check-in, I love everyone in our company, I do, we do, it's a select group of smart, accomplished, and motivated people, we are blessed. I wrapped up an agency training session; I have an offering of three two hour sessions, we concluded the last session, and there is an opportunity to keep working with this team, I love them as well.
I jumped off that call and met a magical man by the name of Josh. He reached out to me via LinkedIn, asked for some time, not some damn canned message, a heartfelt, I would love to pick your brain type message, and so we connected via Zoom. The guy is AMAZING, he's hair challenged, which I respect, he wears it well. He's like Seth Godin, only cooler.
He's a father, husband, artistic entrepreneur, and a creative soul. He has started four companies, and we had a great conversation. We are scheduled to chat again in two weeks, welcome to my circus young man, let's change the world together. He lives on the East Coast, COVID has taught me, I can have friends all over the world.
We left the house and went down the hill; my Queen needed soil for her plants. Some people are addicted to drugs, others booze, some drama, but my Queen, she is addicted to plants. She needed some more soil to plant her new babies. Our home is filled with indoor and outside little green beings.
I got home, unloaded the car of all the plants, and the packages from UPS. Each day we travel down the hill to the UPS store and pick up our amazon purchases. We have a cart full almost daily; yesterday, our kids surprised us with an adorable cooler from the future. We got a bubble machine, disco light, and some other things we decided we could not live without. If your home is void of a bubble machine and disco light, shame on you.
I had organized a call with some of my classmates from high school. As a class we are horrific keeping in touch, we had a ten year and I think a 20-year reunion, but have not seen each other since. We had ten join to chat about a virtual meeting but then decided to host an every other week cocktail hour for those that want to join. I broke the group out into rooms of 3 and 4 to reconnect; this will be a fun project. I like and adore those I attended high school; most cannot say that.
I came upstairs and listened to some Jackson Brown on our Sonos whilst my Queen cooked, wait for it, BRAUTS on steamed buns with mustard. We jumped in our purple bean bags and watched a couple of eps of Sense8. A delicious show about connecting folks around the globe for a common cause. I like as I write that GRAMMERLY tries to correct my nuance, my interpretation of the English language. Yes, Karen, I make mistakes, but at times my prose if not in line with traditional rules, I'm here to break the rules not follow them.
My body is sore; these daily workouts with my team are starting to stretch and firm up this older man's body. I encourage you to take this time to firm up that body, come out of COVID stronger than when it began; it's not too late. And my final question is, why can thousands protest around the globe but I can't see a show at RED ROCKS? It is now apparent the lockdowns were a silly exercise. I want my freedom back, cheers to the revolution, but I want my MTV!
