Fed up with a cluttered Start menu or desktop, filled with adverts, on Windows 10? Just want the things you use on your computer, ready and waiting to launch, without any messing around? This article will demonstrate how to get started using PittLaunch to create an easier Windows!
1) Download a free trial of PittLaunch from www.pittlaunch.co.uk and install (or place the "no install" version somewhere on your computer) - there are no obligations, you don't need to register/provide an e-mail address and you can even try without installing. You can find full instructions for installing PittLaunch at: https://www.pittlaunch.co.uk/hints/installing
2) When you open PittLaunch for the very first time, you'll see the following screen:
There are two options - you can either drag and drop the applications you use into the PittLaunch window - these will then be added. You can also import them from the Start menu - this will display a list of applications on your computer which you can then select and add.
And that's it!
From the Options menu in PittLaunch, you can add and set up additional categories/tabs, and add icons to these tabs. Right click an icon to see options - including to edit that icons details and move them to another category.
Spend some time exploring the different menu options, and how they work. There isn't really a "self destruct" button - so spend some time experimenting. For example, from the Options menu you can change whether to double click or single click to launch applications, or display icons without any titles.
From the Options menu you can also set PittLaunch to start automatically each time you log in to your computer.
You can then have PittLaunch in the corner of your screen - and the items you use on your computer are always available to launch - no need to find them through the Start menu or a cluttered desktop!
