There are several things that as humans we will always want. The top 3 are as follows. One; we will want doing things to become easier even thou that particular thing could be easy already. We would still want a process to go faster, even thou the process could be fast already and we would always want something cheaper as long as quality is satisfactory. Knowing these things, you as an aspiring entrepreneur can use them to ensure that the businesses you are starting have a high probability of becoming successful.
Each of these things can help you form a good business on their own but the moment you are able to combine at least 2 of them, you are able to unlock very high potential for a profitable big businesses. I am gonna talk about different combinations below and my opinion on why using them could make really good businesses.
Easier and cheaper. Here you are selling convenience and affordability. These could be household items like your typical affordable blender or even cleaning items like brooms. You will probably be able to sell these items to most people but its going to be hard to make a distinguishable brand here as this is the easiest segment most new businesses try to conquer.
Easier and faster. Here you are selling convenience and speed. This is a very good segment to be in because it can lead to higher retention among customers if the product is great. This is where most luxury services reside. Think a private driver service or private chef to cook your meals immediately. You will also find most outsourcing business services here. Your accountant or lawyer will make things easy and fast but not necessarily cheap. You can also combine a product and service. Example order a meal through the phone and get delivery service fast. If you position yourself well, you can build a great business here.

Faster and cheaper. Here the selling point is to get it done as soon as possible. A very good example is the passport size photos in 3 minutes selling angle. Even most affordable product sales with fast or immediate delivery fall into this category. You could say most people who sell products in public markets get success through this angle. Get what you want immediately at an affordable price. Could be a great angle to be in as well.
And the second best business angle of all.... Easier, faster and cheaper. Here you cover all the bases. If you are able to provide a product or service with ease, at speed and a cheaper price, you can easily acquire customers as this is the angle most of them want. This is where you will find most of major FMCG brands like Azam and Mo brands. But why is this not the best angle? Because of one word. Profits. Which brings us to....
The best business angle of all is Easier, Faster and Conveniently priced. Here is where billion dollar businesses are built. This is Facebook, Apple, Amazon and even Mpesa. Conveniently priced doesn't need to mean cheap. Its a calculated balanced price that you think your product service is worth and what the target customer won't be too annoyed to pay. The new Iphone is worth $1,000 if Tim Cook and Apple customers both think its worth $1,000. Brand positioning is needed but here you can maximize profits and brand value as well. I believe anyone who is starting or building a business today should strive to achieve this angle because it can help your business reach its highest potential.
And there you have it! As an inspiring entrepreneur, you are probably striving to build the best business that you can build. Hopefully what you have read here guides you further to the business of your dreams. Happy building, fellow hustler.
